Veterinarians

Dr. Chris Coon - DVM, CCRP

Dr. Chris Coon - DVM, CCRP

 

Dr. Coon has been practicing veterinary medicine for almost three decades.  He has been busy building his practice at Haven Lake Animal Hospital since 1999. A Delaware native, Dr. Coon graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware, and completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware. Dr. Coon attended veterinary school at the University of Minnesota and completed an equine internship at Kansas State. Dr. Coon has had specialty training in veterinary orthopedic surgery, I-131 radioiodine therapy, veterinary physical rehabilitation, and canine conditioning. Dr. Coon lives locally with his wife, Sheila, and their menagerie of dogs, cats, and horses. 

 

 

Dr. Natalie Titus - DVM

Dr. Natalie Titus - DVM

 

Dr. Titus is a graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1991, and joined our family at  Haven Lake Animal Hospital in 2007. Her specialty is small animal veterinary care. Dr. Titus is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Delaware Veterinary Medical Association. She has served on the Delaware Veterinary Medical Association executive board as a county representative, and she currently serves on the State Board of Veterinary Medicine and participates in her church’s women’s planning committee, the choir, and the theater arts ministry. Dr. Titus has expanded her veterinary training to include acupuncture and a more holistic blend of medical care. Travel and photography are two of her interests in life, but she gets the most joy out of her dog, cat, and two teenage sons.

 

 

Dr. Audrey Adkins - VMD

Dr. Audrey Adkins - VMD

 

Dr. Adkins has been a practicing veterinarian since 1997, with special emphasis and training in canine hip evaluation, I-131 radioiodine treatment, stem cell treatment, pocket pet care, and veterinary dentistry. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has worked at Haven Lake since 2004. Dr. Adkins is highly respected in the veterinary community, playing leadership and volunteer roles with Boy Scouts of America, Delaware Veterinary Medical Association (past president), and the AVMA. She loves her husband and three children, as well as her multiple pets, both large and small.

 

 

Dr. Diane Holm - DVM

Dr. Diane Holm - DVM

 

Dr. Holm is a UGA alum having graduated from their veterinary program in 1990. She has been at Haven Lake Animal Hospital since 1999 and enjoys specializing in feline medicine and geriatric pet care for all species. She is a longtime member of the AVMA, DVMA, and MERR (Marine Animal Education Research and Rehabilitation) organizations. Outside the clinic, Dr. Holm enjoys weight lifting, hiking, bike riding, reading, seashell and sea glass hunting, and shopping. Her family consists of her loving husband, Kent, and her newest addition, Zsa Zsa the beautiful Kitty.

 

 

Dr. Kathy Francis - DVM

Dr. Kathy Francis - DVM

 

Dr. Francis is a Clemson University graduate and went on to the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, to receive her veterinary doctorate in 1994. She has been seeing patients at Haven Lake Animal Hospital since joining our family in 2004. Dr. Francis has special training in manatee rescue and rehab as well as aquatic animal medicine. Her area of special interest is emergency medicine. Her most recent accomplishment is completing training in acupuncture through the Chi Institute in Florida. Dr. Francis is a member of the DVMA, FVMA, AVMA, and DBCC organizations and has hobbies outside of pet care such as running, triathlons, weightlifting, Clumber Spaniels, supporting breast cancer prevention groups, travel, reading, University of Florida football (Go Gators!). She has a husband, two sons, cats, dogs, and way too many tropical fish to count.

 

 

Dr. Levinson

Dr. Joshua Levinson, DVM, DACVECC

Dr. Joshua Levinson was raised in Miami, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He moved to Delaware to work in an emergency and specialty hospital, VCA Newark and progressed there into an emergency and critical care residency. Dr. Levinson became board certified in veterinary emergency and critical care (DACVECC) in 2010. During his residency and in the years to follow, he developed an interest in cardiac ultrasound. Currently, he enjoys seeing patients in general practice, addressing emergency and critical care patients, as well as managing pets with cardiac conditions. In his free time, Dr. Levinson enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and playing tennis. 

 Dr. Stephanie Hennen- DVM

 

Dr. Stephanie Hennen is originally from Lakenheath, England but spent most of her life in Felton, Delaware. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Delaware State University in 2019 with a presidential scholar award. In 2023, she earned her DVM from Oklahoma State University where she was a part of Phi Kappa Phi honor society and Phi Zeta Veterinary Medicine honor society. Dr. Hennen has a special interest in exotic pet medicine, specifically for reptiles, birds, and amphibians. Her interest also include animal behavior and small animal reproductive medicine. She is a member of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. In her free time, Dr. Hennen enjoys spending time with her cats, rabbits, husband, kayaking, biking, and bowling.
